Your grass choice for your landscaping does not have to be confined to only Kentucky Bluegrass. There are all sorts of ornamental grasses from low growing bunching types to tall grasses that are six foot or taller. Grasses come in all shades of green, varigated and not. Some even are red. Many of the grasses will produce plumes that will add to the delight of your landscaping. In the fall, as the grasses dry, you will have different shades of tans and browns and rusts. Allow the dried grasses to remain through winter to provide some additional texture and interest to your landscaping. In the spring you may need to cut the dried growths to make way for the new spring growth and the new fresh delight of the grass in your landscaping.
